Printing

We are dedicated to bringing the best quality inkjet (otherwise known as Giclee) prints to our artists. We work closely with individual artists to make sure their final prints will come out just the way they want them. Our prints work not only as the highest quality editions of your original work but also as original works themselves.

The process of making your print from start to finish is:

"If you are a photographer…"

1. If you have a digital file that is of high enough quality, you can send it on disc or upload it to our FTP server. If you are not sure your file is of high enough quality for printing, please feel free to contact us, we will be happy to evaluate it.

2. If you don’t have a digital file or the file is not of high enough quality, then you can send us your film and we will drum scan it to make the digital file.

"If you are a painter…"

1. If you have a digital file that is of high enough quality (if you are not sure your file is of high enough quality for printing, please feel free to contact us), you can send it on CD or upload to our FTP server.

2. If you don’t have a digital file or the file is not of high enough quality, then you can send us your original painting (we highly recommend to use *FedEx to send any of your original work) and we will do a digital capture to make its digital file suitable for printing editions.

3. With a high quality digital file in hand, we make a proof print that is normally 8”x10”. The proof will be sent back to you for approval. We take time fine tuning each image during the proofing process. It is our goal to meet your desired result in the print with the first proof and work the file with any thoughts you have provided us as guidance. If any adjustments are needed, they will be discussed accordingly and the second proof will be sent to you if needed. Proofing is a key process to ensure the quality of the final prints, therefore we do not proceed to the final prints without your approval.

4. Once we have the proof approved, we start printing your final prints to your desired size and quantity. We ship the finished prints to you with *FedEx in flat packing material so you will not have prints to uncurl from being shipped in a tube. It normally takes about one to two weeks from start to finish but we will try to accommodate rush jobs when needed.

5. As long as the proofing is completed for the specific image, you can order the same print again anytime in the future even in different sizes.

*Having experimented with other carriers, we find that FedEx is the most reliable carrier for handling valuable arts which sometimes include the original paintings which are delivered to us for digital captures. Please contact us for tips on packing any material you will send to us.
